CBC AFTERSCHOOL BLOCK (2003 – 2006)

As an Associate Producer of Youth Programming at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, I served as in-house promo producer for all youth programming, as well as work on 2 different in-house interstitial blocks, The 101 and The Void as well as 2 shows, The X, and The Morgan Waters Show.

THE X (2003 – 2005)

The X was a DAILY after-school comedy and pop-culture show, targeted to ‘tweens. The show featured in-studio hosts,  pretaped segments, and featured guest celebrities. My duties ranged from writing to segment producing, research, location scouting, talent wrangling, providing online content as well as Assistant Directing in the control room.

THE MORGAN WATERS SHOW (2006)

The Morgan Waters Show was a six-minute sketch/sitcom/pop-culture comedy show starring Morgan Waters, who played a variety of characters himself, including the badminton-loving Goth Trent, Phillip the Nerd, and the lovable CBC Executive Boss Boss. Guests appearing on the show included Ben Mulroney, Jon Dore, Rick Mercer, the cast of Degrassi: The Next Generation, Ashlee Simpson, Simple Plan, OK GO, Ralph Nader and more. Critically acclaimed by TV Guide, the show was honoured with the 2007 Gemini for “Best Children’s or Youth Non-Fiction Program or Series”. I was also cast in the recurring role of ‘The Assistant’.
